COMMUNITY OUTREACH CANADA - SECOND CHANCE is a charitable organization registered under Canada Not-For-Profit Corporation Act no. 79096-0124.
SECOND CHANCE commenced in 2012 as a volunteer-based initiative giving individuals a second chance. Adults and Youth of various age groups were able to access services on an ad-hoc basis.
The plague of poverty, bad decisions, internal conflict, isolation and insecurity impacts individuals and their families, often pulling several generations into the fray. Breaking the cycle is the purpose of SECOND CHANCE, where individuals that have lost hope, reliable connections and family can now be serviced for one year with the help of professionally trained and experienced Outreach Specialists, Counsellors, Lawyers, Social Workers and Community Developers, Youth workers, Skill and Career Specialists and more.
Through the dedication and drive of strong internal and external supports, the volunteers take on the challenge of changing a life, one day at a time. What matters next is the persistence of the individual to strive for higher values and greater opportunities. It's the little changes that impact their daily living and gives them a vision for their future. Hope changes lives.
Vision: Transforming lives, one day at a time.
Mission: To serve those that are vulnerable and disenfranchised and give them supports that can help overcome barriers and daily challenges.
